How to be successful in life?

Every individual was put on this earth for a purpose. Every person was put here to become a success. Every human ought to enjoy the sweet taste of success—to find peace and happiness—to live an interesting, secure, and abundant life! And in order that all might—if willing—reap such full and abundant rewards, the Creator set in motion actual, definite laws to produce that desired result.

Many of the laws and methods described for success in the above passages, may look simple. Of course, it is simple. But all simple things are not easy things. What is easy to get is easy to miss too. The only way to true success is not a formula being sold like merchandise. You can't buy it with money. It comes to you free—without money, and without price. But t here is a price for it—your own application of these definite laws. And this application of this law demands life from you. Your life is the price of success.

Take the case of any man who achieved a remarkable success. In his/her life we see the ‘nail mark’ of hard labour and rigorous practice. We cannot forget the nail marks imprinted on Jesus while we depict him as an achiever. His success consisted in moulding the life the people in the image of His Father. For this purpose he had to lay down His life. He gave his life as a ransom for many. In that process of making life successful he had to receive cross and nails – a sacrificial death. Success is nothing but the fulfillment of one’s life and its purposes even by accepting a redemptive death.

This we don’t get in a day or all of a sudden. It’s a constant practice- an every day practice till your ‘last day’. The touchstone of success is not the effect of your work, but rather the effort you put forward to achieve it. There is a saying “God does not look at the effect, but to the effort”. According to Bible it is not those who have done well, but endured till the end succeed. Perseverance is the pillar on which your success remains.

Finally as the Scriptures says success flow from the abundant goodness of the Lord. We need to tap the energy from that Source in our day today life. Number of gates open before a person who trust I God. God is the answer for every thing he encounters in his/her life. A disbeliever finds success only in gain. But a believer is capable of finding success in pain too. This is like the prophet Habakkuk says, “Though the fig tree does not blossom, and no fruit is on the vines; though the produce of the olive fails and the fields yield no food; though the folk is cut off from the fold and there is no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will exult in the God of my salvation. God the lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and makes me tread upon the heights”(Hab 3:17-19).
